Amy Slotnick began her career in the mortgage industry in 1983 as a processor/underwriter with MGIC, a mortgage insurance company. From 1985-1988, with Northeastern Mortgage, she held the positions of Underwriter, Senior Underwriter, and Underwriting Manager, and then was promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President of Production. In that role she was responsible for all underwriting and for the training of loan officers as related to company and investor guidelines.
In 1988, Amy made the decision to move into the area of mortgage origination. She held the positions of Loan Officer and Vice President for Northeastern Mortgage, First Financial Mortgage Company, and Monument Mortgage Company.
In 1995, she became a Principal and Owner of Mortgage Capital Solutions, which in 1999, merged with Monument Mortgage Company. Amy joined Fairway Independent Mortgage as Vice President In 2007. With Fairway, Amy continues to originate loans, providing her clients with the most competitive mortgage financing options in the market.
Amy’s deep knowledge and broad experience in all aspects of the mortgage business including operations, sales, management and ownership gives her the expertise and the skill to identify the best possible solution for her clients. In addition, as a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, Amy is trained to analyze her clients' mortgage needs as part of their total financial planning strategy.
Amy believes that customer service is the key to success in the mortgage industry. "I work for my customers to provide them with the most positive overall experience," she says, "They benefit from my depth of experience. What differentiates me from the competition is the high quality of my service, the depth of my knowledge, and my holistic approach to the process”.
Amy is a frequent speaker at industry events and seminars. She is committed to continuous professional development as an active member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Association of which she is a past Director, and the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association.
Amy is a graduate of Simmons College with degrees in both Economics and Political Science. She is a licensed mortgage loan originator in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. (MLO #27030)
